This ship was brought into Tacoma Wn in the state shown in order to show people what war looked like and to sell war bonds I toured her at that time 1945 I was 14 at the time she is on show today near the York Town in charlette

WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY!!!!!!!  MY DAD WAS THERE ON THE SECOND USS CHICAGO  THEY WERE LUCKY AS I DON'T THINK THEY WERE EVER HIT BY THE KAMIKAZES [ HE NEVER SAID ] BUT HE WOULDN'T BUY ANY JAP CARS , STEREOS .TV 'S, ETC TILL HE DIED ! WAS VERY BITTER ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED OVER THERE / SAW , AS SO MANY WERE!!!!
