The J79GE8 engine was also used in the F4 Phantom!  (VF102)  Both that squadron and VAH-7 made the 1sr deployments to the Med on USS Enterprise CVA(N)65 (now also gone)  Are we old farts?

Paul, The reunion is scheduled for 6/25 = 6/28 2015. I'll send you an attachment separately.

NAS Sanford is now a commercial international airport but the terminal has a pictorial display of NAS Sanford and its tenant squadrons. There is also a static display of one of the RA-5Cs mounted on a pedestal near where Lake Golden is located. The bird is mounted in climbing angle and has the markings of RVAH-3 which as you know was the RAG squadron. The restoration committee is now refurbishing a PV-1 for the display area.
