For those who served in the RVAH Community, their families, and friends!
Why have I invited you to take part?
Your story matters, now more than ever, and your career provides understanding through experience during the study period (1965-1975) or in the application of lesson immediately following. The history of the Integrated Operations Intelligence Center (IOIC) is missing and I need Cold Warriors to help me tell its important role. Sea stories are encouraged!
I am asking you to take a questionnaire, it should take 20-30 minutes complete. This is unclassified study, so any answers given in the questionnaire should be unclassified. You may email me at bryan.leese@kcl.ac.uk with specific questions or to set up a telephone call to discuss classification guidance.
Take the questionnaire, help a future Shipmate. Use this link to access the site
https://kings.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/us-navy-afloat-opintel-developmen...
Please share this link with fellow Cold Warriors who can contribute to the story of afloat intelligence.
What happens after the Questionnaire?
A follow-on face-to-face interview may be requested to help expand your story. I will contact you regarding any possible meeting. An information sheet with more details about the research is available by emailing a request to bryan.leese@kcl.ac.uk .

Steven, Thank you. Mr. Hartford completed a questionnaire and I have sent him an email.
PS: he's also here on Reccenet: http://rvahnavy.ning.com/profile/RobinWayneHartford
I pointed a Photomate I know of facebook that was Ship's Company on the Saratoga in the early 70s and worked in CVIC to your online survey.
Steven,
I will look into the NANP, thank you. I will also reach out to Bill Shea, at aztouche@gmail.com. I had asked earlier and not seeing it in the newsletter believed it didn't make the 'cut.' If would like to participate in my study directly you can take the online questionnaire at:
https://kings.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/us-navy-afloat-opintel-developmen...
You may have already done this, but have you spoken to/contacted anyone at NANP (National Association of Naval Photography)? Their website is here: https://navyphoto.net/wp/. They also have a facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/NavyPhotoAssn/
Cdr Leese,
If you see this drop a note to our newsletter editor, Bill Shea, at aztouche@gmail.com and request he include a blurb in the next newsletter. Possibly a short article on what you are doing is something Bill could include that would help generate more assistance.
I am still looking for PHs, PTs, and 1630s to help my research into the IOIC. Please, help tell this story in my dissertation!
