After all these years and you still remember a squadron party in Barcelona?? It was a good one wasn't it. Yes I finally did make Chief, but it took me 20 years...still got to make two Med cruises on the Nimitz, which had a great CPO Mess.....John
Gary....never made to Albany,GA....moved about 6 months before Sanford got transfered to Albany...and sorry, don't remember a Winton Lowery.....looks like your looking for someone else......like I said before was a North American Aviation Tech Rep stationed with VAH-7 in 62 and 63....then the Avionics Shop from 64 to 68 at Sanford....keep in touch if I can help even though I couldn't this time....Pete
Boy, its getting tough to remember everybody from 40 plus years ago. You sent me an email so you know I was a NAA Rep on the ASB-12 Bomb/Nav system, test equipment and module repair.... I was in VAH-7 from Feb 1962 to the last Med cruise in Nov 63 and then in the Avionics shop from Nov 63 to Dec 68 when I left Sanford.....so please help me to identify you and where you were during that time....but your name is definitely familiar.....so bear with me and we'll talk....my email is email@example.com..
Can't forget those pipes can you? Those were the days, the skipper was mad that I didn't invite him. I'm still in touch with Chasko who is in Goodyesr Arizona. I live in a small town in Northern Vermont, Jericho. 16 inches of snow on the ground and it is still coming down. I'M fully retired except for three horses, one which I show competively in the driving arena. If you want something a little more expensive than a boat buy a horse. Haven't seen you at the reunions since that one in Sanford. Saw Bob Brewer on tne History channel a few days ago chasing down some legendary Confederate gold. He looks the same with a beard and 50 pounds. Good to hear from you maybe at the next get together.
Good to see you again. I am in Millington TN just north of Memphis. I retired in 84 as AVCM, worked at NAVAIR Civil service then transfered to BUPERS and moved with them home to Memphis area. I have you and others like you to thnk for teaching me so much. If you ever get this way give me a call perhaps we can talk about the greatest bunch of shipmates i ever had. Hope all is well with you and yours.
