Stuart, I don't remember the patch, so it probably wasn't me. Although I do have some fond memories of my time at Sanford. Frank

Yeah, she was the heaviest bird to ever fly off the carrier. 3 man crew, 4th seat optional. I flew once in a while. I was an AT2 worked the shop first Med cruise and flight deck on the second.

I guess you saw the A3 in my photos of the rollout at Castle.

Well, as we Niners used to say, Hoot Hoot. Take care.

Is that the photo you were referring to? The rollout pictures in my album were taken at Castle Museum in Atwater, CA 2013. I was there for the ceremony.

Hi Stu,

The picture of me next to the A3 was taken in 1957, aboard the Saratoga. We were on operation Strikeback, above the Arctic Circle.

Yes Stu, I was in VAH 7 from '60 to '63. I was an AT and worked the line mostly instead of in the shop. I'm sure we met some times. Frank Riley  I now live in the upstate of South Carolina  on lake Keowee near Clemson

Hi Stu,

My dad was in the Vigi community while I was growing up, but unfortunately they were retired by the time I enlisted.  I have great memories of being a kid in Sanford and Albany.

Hello Stuart,

I was at Sanford from July 5, 1957 to June 27, 1960.

Hello Stu, I am not the pilot. I never met him but am aware of him as our credit ratings and bills would get mixed up. I had forgotten about that. I moved from Cleveland to the Cincinnati area in 1984. I still have relatives in the Cleveland area though.

Badges? We don't need no stinking badges.

Everyone may have noticed that your web browser was forcing you to turn on Flash to see your badge. Adobe is doing away with Flash in a couple months so the Badges function will stop working completely then so we've removed that  feature from the main page.
