Hey Philip,

Still have not made it down to Pensacola yet, wife & I have been looking for the last year but just have not found the right home yet. Been also checking out Spanish Fort, AL wear real-estate taxes are much lower.  Hope to be moved down there this year for surely don’t want to spend another winter up north. Check our naval air museum (http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org) web page because they have changed hours & you now have to come in from the back gate. Last time I was up there Vigi was in the back lot area so if you take the back lot trolley you might get to see it. Make sure you stop by Cubi Bar & have San Miguel!

Another attraction is if you go over to Mobil, AL they have the USS Alabama battle ship plus a nice museum along with USS Drum submarine. You can go any wear on either ship which makes one appreciates have been on air craft carrier.

I did semi retire last June & have very much been enjoying myself – Later & Fly Navy

I’ve been in pretty good health but as I gotten into my golden years just not movie as fast as before.

Still work 50 / 60 hours each week & exercise six days a week which keeps me fit to some degree. Other than that like I said thinking of retiring later this year down to Pensacola, FL area.  Hope things work out on skin cancer - later

Ken Missenheimer Mr. haircut from what I recall & John Selleny, he had the Austen Healy if I recall. I was TAD to CAG on west pack on Enterprise with lots of time on bingo deployment. If you check the RVAH 7 roster you see several old friends like Bob Hall, Greg Pepitone, Dave Mackie, John Carroll, Dillard & how about Mike Yondrick aka yackie.

Lots of good memory’s

I was in squadron supply with Jerry Pigg and Earnie Gowans.  I don't remember Jim McGee being in supply. There was a time during my second West Pac that I was assigmed to another area of supply so it could have been during that time when Jim McGee was in Squadron Supply.  Good luck and God's speed.

Hello Phillip - when things stopped working and you guys needed parts to get back up me and Jerry Pigg were the two that scrounged, stole and bartered whatever we could to find them for you.

Hi Phil,

I was in Heavy Nine from July 1957 to June 1960 and worked as an AT2 in the radio shop. Made 2 Med cruises aboard the Saratoga and shook down the Ranger, with a few small deployments along the way. There is a vigilante on display at the Castle Air Museum in Atwater, CA. I saw it before restoration when I went to see an A3D that was just restored. I put some photos up on this site, but you will have to scroll back a bit to see them. You can see the Vigilante on their site www.castleairmuseum.org .

Hoot Hoot

John
