Still haven't assembled the model. I look at it every time I open the closet door in my computer room and think "I need to get on that" and I will. Have had some health problems but hopefully will be fully recovered soon. Tim
Hey Buddy ! Good to hear from you. Not cooking at present time due to medical issues but plan to get back in the kitchen again soon or maybe teach. Still down here on the Gulfcoast living on 2 beautidul acreas, if you ever come down south, give me a holler, Hooters are always welcome
Dean: Great to hear form you and thank you for your very kind note. I am very happy that I found the RECCENET portal since my days with the Hoot Owls were some of my best memories of my years in the Navy. Hope to get to see you in person soon. Tim
Welcome aboard! I always think about you as I drive south past the Sunyside/Turner exit on I-5. I do that frequently as I regularly call on golf courses in Oregon. My wife and I live in Bremerton (our home town). I ran into Bill Key several years back in the barber shop in Bremerton. Hope that you are doing well!
Dean, good to hear from you; thanks for your kind words. Hope being a mustang helped the way we interacted; I always respected the 'troops' and did my best to guard you from some of the nonsense you probably never knew about. You all were the best! Attached a couple photos of the aircraft you referred to in your message. My dad (and Phil's dad) were aboard Nimitz for a week prior to departing to the Med in '76; he took the photos of Lt Palmatier and myself for this particular launch. I was aware of both K+11 and Palmatier; I still have trouble with the loss of "Jet". I found out about that when I was trying to reconnect with him a few years back prior to the Sandford reunion. Quite proud to hear of your post-Navy accomplishments - well done!
