General history '74 to '79

Arrived for NFO training in RVAH-3 after spending ten years as an AT in the VP community. Served in RVAH-9 as legal officer, Line Div Officer, and even Avionics Officer for a while until its decommissioning.

Chief Mclaughlin was my Line Chief, Tom Meyers was my pilot, Frank Minich was my friend (and a many others across the board), Dottie was my wife.

I reported to RVAH-9 as the Bull Ensign. This title was bestowed on me by the squadron Chiefs who presented me with a special bright green cruise box painted to include the title to assure they properly embarrassed me.

These Recce years were good years, we were all young then. We were living life in one of the most beautiful places on earth; serving our country, raising families, enjoying the the gulf waters. There were only a few periods in my life that I felt were both memorable and important, and those years were one of those periods.

Hello  to Bruce Moore.  Yes, despite my wild antics I managed to stay alive until my late 60's.  Finally got married when I was 49.  Sadly, my wife passed away this past July.

You are sooooooooooo funny!!! Yep. Here I am, happy as a clam, living back in my mountains of western NC. Married, 2 step kids and my precious baby, Sweetie, that I am holding in my pic. Great husband who love me alot. Couldn't ask for more. Hope you are doing well - added you as a friend on facebook, too. It is good to be back in touch.

Hey Lt. Moore! Are you the same Lt. Moore that was the Public Affairs Officer for H-3 at decommissioning? If so, glad to see you on board! Hope life has treated you well. I enjoyed working for you.

Everyone may have noticed that your web browser was forcing you to turn on Flash to see your badge. Adobe is doing away with Flash in a couple months so the Badges function will stop working completely then so we've removed that  feature from the main page.
