I started my navy times in RVAH-9 and was a member until it closed in 1978. Recieved orders to RVAH-1 by request. In Both I worked in the AT shop. Made two deployments, one to the med in 9 in 1976 and then the west pac in 1 in 1978. Some really great guys to be assigned with. Many years later after my discharge in 1978 I joined the national guard. Stayed in and finished my military career with a deployment to operation iraqi freedom II at the age of 47. wow. love to hear from anyone who remembers me. Back then I went by my middle name Mike.
