Just found this site. I was with the suadron from 67 to 70.  Made one Med cruise and one WestPac cruise. I'll be checking back every so often to heare from anyone.

I started in RVAH-6 made one Med cruise on the Nimitz. RVAH-6 was decommissioned and I went to RVAH-7 and made 1 West Pac on the Ranger. Spent most of my time on a shore detachment in the Philippines. RVAH-7 was decommissioned and I went to NAS Patuxent Reviver and worked in AIMD until I left the Navy in Nov 1980. What a great experience I had. Looking back I realize I miss it.

hi Tony glad to see ya here..  ya the 73 west pac was differnt..the enemy wasnt all on land ..  lol..

Ya  did join the line crew for the last part of the 1973 west pac.  then back to the shop once back in key west.

Hey Roger!! Tony hoffmann here from those cruises. I was a metalsmith in the airframes shop at that time. the worst thing I remember about one of those cruises was the riots we had on board . Scary time. Laid in our racks armed to the teeth with whatever we could find. Glad those days are over

looking for ADJs from the 1971 to 1974 time frame.  Mike Leagan you out there?  or any others...Also what are all you others from that time frame from RVAH-7 doing these days?  Two west packs on the Kitty Hawk...what a life (grin)

Are there any ames out there. looking for AMEC PHIPPS. OR any other AMES from 1975-1979.
