Hi everyone, I was attached to RVAH-14 a very short time before decommissioning in Key West. I Joined you at KW as you were coming back from a westpac in 1973. I worked for Chief Brown, I think... Photo chief When we decommissioned I went to RVAH-7. Just starting as a PH E3 in the squadron but really didn't get to know anyone for the short time there.
Richard Farmer, PH1
1971-72 was my last cruise on the JFK before orders to Pensacola. I worked in IOIC as a PH2 developing and reading pic that Capt. John's crew took. Really enjoyed the job and the cruise.
served with bob bodell, steve luttmann, stew leclair, nick delesandro, ricks, ewing, mason, inman, we were on the med cruise on board ussjfk, 1971-1972, I was pubs petty officer on that cruise (cushy job)
Captain Johns was my skipper on med cruise 71-72. I was an AME2, i remember him telling me about flying spads in Nam before RA5C's.
My enlistment was over upon the return of the 70-1 Med cruise on Big John. I did not have the opportunity to serve under Capt. Johns. Beside the Vigi. the F-8 Crusader was my favorite bird.
I bumped into Captain (retired) Cliff M. Johns. He was the skipper of RVAH 14 for about a year starting in April 1972. He made a comment on Facebook about a F8 Crusader that I responded, bringing up his flying RA5C's. Asked which squadron, he responded he was my skipper in RVAH 14. Son of a gun, he was!
The family of Heavy-14 Sailor, Calvin Stokley have made the following request:
Message from Marilyn Stokley
A group of lawyers are trying to determine if we have a claim because Cal died of asbestos related cancer. They would like to talk to anyone who served with him in the Navy. Could you please call me at (251)340-2581 or email me at stokleyclmw@gmail.com. It would be very helpful.
Mark, is there any way you can scan and e-mail that Family Gram?
I sent the lowlife packing again. Also sent a note to the guard dog and anyone else with to power to accept or reject applicants to watch out for the lowlife(s).
On this new warning, notice his email address has changed slightly.
